Winter Storm Event:
We asking all neighbors to please move all trash & recycle bins and other obstacles out of alleyways to allow for snow plowing.
With the upcoming snowstorm predicting ice and potentially large amounts of snow, we have plan to plow the alleyways only from all of north to south alleys east of Meridian Street and west of Carrollton Ave between Fall Creek to the north and 22nd Street to the south.
We will be salting the alleys after snow removal since there is a decent amount of ice predicted and temperatures will remain below freezing for a number of days.
Once the weather permits, plowing the alleys should occur within 24hrs or less.

Meeting with the Prince Hall Representatives and IMPD:
Meeting: Held on Tuesday December 14
Attendees from Fall Creek Place Neighborhood:
Damien Bender - resident of the FCP Neighborhood
Samantha DeWester - resident of the FCP Neighborhood and arranged the meeting
Tim Shaffer - FCP Crime Watch Chairperson
Attendees from Prince Hall:
Ronnell Griffie - Local Chapter President
Phil Burton - Security Advisor
Kenny Washington
Attendees from IMPD:
Michael Wolley - IMPD North Commander
Scenario prior to meeting:
Regarding shooting at Prince Hall Freemason building at 22nd Street & Central Avenue, on November 21, at approximately 1am.
Approximately 34 rounds shot at or into a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle was owned by a woman whose birthday was being celebrated in the lodge. No persons injured.
Later in the day, Samantha DeWester called Ronnelle Griffie at the Prince Hall three times to get input on what happened and what preventative measures could be done to prevent future events like this.
At later date, Samantha called the state chapter of the Freemasons
Samantha was in contact with IMPD, and at least two officers from IMPD talked to Ronnelle a few days prior to the meeting. There were discussions of adding brighter lighting and security cameras to the property. Also talk of having parties renting the hall pay for security during the event.
Bullet points of what was discussed and agreed to:
Added lighting and cameras. Discussed by police officers on their meeting with Ronnelle Griffie in the days prior to this meeting and reconfirmed at this meeting that Prince Hall will make efforts to add these items.
Security had been discussed in days prior to this meeting. There was a starting agreement that any 3rd party that rents the hall must pay for security if the party attendance is over X number of people, X to be determined at a later time. I also suggested that security be required for any size event that runs later into the evening (after 9 PM). There seemed to be some agreement that would be worked into the deal.
IMPD noted that they keep an offenders list of party promoters whose events tend to get police calls to them. They made Ronnelle Griffie aware that Prince Hall can contact them prior to events and inquire if his renter is on their offenders list. (Don’t recall a direct stated action if the person is on the list. Presuming possible cancellation of the event.)
I suggested that in the future perhaps the hall could have an open house for neighbors to come in and meet the Ronnelle Griffie & the members. This would also give neighbors an opportunity to see the rental space and see if that would be a place they would want to hold an event. Kenny Washington & IMPD both chimed in and said they thought that was an excellent idea. We will inform the FCP HOA and the neighborhood if and when this gets arranged.
